Who?
Rich Bown is a keen sea kayaker and Paddle UK Advanced Water Sea Kayak Coach. Based in Cambridge, UK, but enjoying the sea and working with groups around the coasts of England, Wales, Scotland and sometimes further afield. You can contact me at rbown (at) cantab (dot) net.
What?
I do most of my coaching on a voluntary basis with Cambridge Canoe Club. Recently, my focus has been on developing sea paddlers towards independence (e.g. through delivering navigation courses and the Sea Kayak Award) and working with the club’s aspirant sea leaders.
Why?
A website might seem a bit much for a coach who does much of their work on a voluntary basis. However, I’m obliged by Paddle UK to operate to professional standards when I deliver their courses, and being able to provide information to people online helps me meet their requirements.
